i checked HTC website and in support section of Desire HD there is nothing like update service or pc suite .... so that i could simply reinstall firmware....
So wondering what can i do now?

Ok guys. Please help me out here..
I'm looking to root my HTC Desire HD and came to this forum since the topic says "How to root your HTC Desire HD".
But as I open the link in the first post i realize that it's actually for HTC Desire. And when I try to get my bootloader version (the way it's explained) it doesn't even work on the HD.

Can anyone please post a link on how to root HTC Desire HD? I've already been wasting my time on posts that says Desire HD but are in fact only for Desire.  Undecided

There is a thread in the how to board or go to a site like Cyanogen where they have a wiki on how to do it.

If you have read the wiki and you still don't understand - do more research until you do. Don't root until you understand...

There is currently no real need to root, as most of what we will get in gingerbread i.e. Android 2.3 is already provided in the Sense UI.
