Hello,

I have been using my HDH for several months with no problem, but 2 hours ago the screen went blank and I have not been able to restore it.

When I turn the phone on, I can feel it perform the startup vibrate and hear the introductory tune. But the screen stays black through out.

I have tried to clean the sensor, removed the battery and perform a reset, but nothing works.

It still rings when people call, so it is alive. But the screen is black the whole time.

PLEASE HELP!!!

Screen could be knackered.

Take it back to the dealer.  It should be under warranty for a new screen or replacement phone.

The only other option might be that you have set the display to zero? Have you been setting screen brightness within other apps, and did they give you a zero option (most of the app developers now know to set 0 as +1 so this doesn't give an issue any more - almost pooped myself the first time I did it).

I have the same problem here -- DHD showing a black screen, no lights.  But it sounds at restart and rings and vibrates when called.

As Mark put it, your LCD is knackered. Time to send phones in for warranty repair.
