Hello,

I can see that there has been a lot of problems since the latest update. But I can't find a topic about my problem.
Since I upgraded my HTC Desire HD to version 2.3.5 my phone keeps crashing. It stays on for a couple of minutes and then it crashes and reboots. I don't even have time to go into settings or anything else before it switches off.

Please, does anyone know what to do ??

Two tests to try. Remove your micro sd card and see if the phone reboots.  2nd test is to plug in charger and see if the phone reboots while charging.

While charging it still rebooted. Bur amazingly when i took my sd card out it's NOT rebooting. At least i could sync my contacts now !

What does it mean that is not rebooting while my sd card is out ? What can i do about it ?

Do you store your apps on the SD card - as this could mean an app is the cause, and as you have pulled the card the app cannot work.

Yeah, i have all the apps on my sd card ... But it worked fine until this upgrade ...  Undecided

Different system files.  Something you have installed on the card does not work correctly with the update.  At this point you should backup your media off of the card, format it, and reinstall your apps. Certain apps will run from the card but may cause issues.  Widgets are one.

Ok, i'll try reformating my card ! By the way, is it possible that the new update can detect cracked apps and that would be the problem ? As i have loads of cracked games and apps ...

I've tracked down where the problem comes from. All my apps and games are fine apart from one folder called ".android_secure", full of ASEC files. As long as that folder is not on my SD card my phone works well, but it's unfortionately an important folder...
