What handset did you have before the HTC Desire HD?

Good reliable mobile phone. Still works aok, however my daughter has been after me to get a Smartphone for yonks now. I just can't stand airs & grace of Apple people, nor the Grand Controller attitude of Steve Job's!

Run that one past me again? What's a pre?

Elizabeth has been an Apple Freak since leaving school. She has an iPhone 3 (? The one before the current one, anyway). She is on to her third Apple lap-top. Her first became out-dated, the second had a mother-board failure. She uses an Apple desk-top with her studio work. She is locked onto Apple, but can still laugh about it. She is in Manhattan for the first few weeks of September and had hoped the iPhone 5 release would be then. Doesn't look like it now.

They obviously make reasonable (if limited) products. It is just that I can't stand their semi-religious attitude. Somebody compared the Apple People to Catholics and everybody else to Protestants. I can see the comparision!

The last phone I had was an Htc Diamond 2, it was ok apart from the slow windows mobile 6.1 software and slow internet. Htc hadn't got it quite right back then...
One day it just stopped working, I lost the ability to use the touch screen so was obviously screwed as nothing worked- Htc repaired it without my consent and wanted to charge me £150

I said no thank you then went back to my Samsung G600 as an emergency phone for a couple of months, nice little camera, my son still uses it.

I seemed to have completely bypassed the Iphone completely, we have them at work and I've sent so many back for repair, it put me off getting one. So when I saw the desire, then the hd version I knew! I did a lot of research into what I wanted from a phone and hd came out on top.

I had to wait until it was upgrade time to get my HTC Desire HD. Been really happy with it, just the flickering camera problem, which was resolved by advice on here.
