Nokia 6610 since 2004. Superb phone for its time. I duplicated the missing functionality of timed silent with an app from the store. I wish the dreadful Desire HD speaker was even half as good as the Nokia!! lol

I had a Nokia N85. Great phone but getting apps (or whatever they are called for Nokia) was difficult. The camera was excellent, and I still use it for that purpose.

Then I upgraded to the dreaded Motorola Dext ( spit, snarl)..
Would be a great phone if it actually worked! I have mentioned the many problems elsewhere on threads. It's actually away (again) for fixing as I type.

Now on the Desire HD, and very, very happy with t, finding new stuff every day.

Sony Ericsson K800i

Loved that handset and it lasted me years before finally giving up on me after a trip to a hospital where it got zapped by an unknown piece of equipment that totally bricked it Cry Farewell old friend

I still have my N95, love it to bits and still use it. Just can't beat the camera on it for a phone of it's era.

Samsung Omnia I900, good phone,  but as with all electronics after 2 year hopeless old and slow.

Now for 2 weeks the HTC Desire HD and satisfied.

Have fun and good luck.

I had a Nokia 5800. Had it for about 18 months and was great but started to get a bit buggy with new updates.

If the N8 Had been out when I was due my upgrade I probably wouldn't have looked into the Desire HD. Glad I did as it is everything I want and more!!

Just the one thing lacking... I would love a pc suite like Nokia have. It is so easy to go through your phone on the pc and manage your text messages and even sned text messages whilst sat at your desk, very handy for work!

I've still got my SE C905, which has been repaired about 7 times ! but now is sound as just about whole innards are new. Brill camera still.

Jan 6th this year got my first touch, Nokia 5800, then quickly sold it again on ebay for no loss and got the Nokia x6 .. gr8 lil touch which I gave to the missus.

I was waiting for the Desire HD havin been pay monthly for a year. I got my Desire HD on £25/month/18month contract, unlimited internet, 300 mins 300tx which does me.

No regrets whatsoever in fact i'm still stunned by it and Froyo upgrade even more exciting

HTC Desire A8181 - HT08

The first phone I bought was the W550i. Clearly remembered the dual speakers... Lost it and got a glorified brick (aka entry-level Nokia) until I saw the k810i with the (at the time) glorious 3.2 megapixel camera. The navigation stick was starting to act funny so I sold it off. Moved on to the even more glorious k850i 5.0 megapixel camera. Phone got bricked coz I dropped it too often (I gave it away to my GF, but a thief broke into her house and stole it...) and got a G705 coz i thought at the time it is the cheapest GPS phone. The G705 was acting funny again by the time android becomes popular and fashionable. 2 months of research and testing made me choose the Desire HD over other competitors, including the Samsung Galaxy S, Sony Ericsson X10, HTC Legend, iPhone 3GS and the iPhone 4

I had the N95, it was mostly reliable with a great camera. I then upgraded to the Samsung Omnia I900 which ran the windows 6.1. I enjoyed customising it and when I'd finished it barely resembled an Omnia, However, it was glitchy as any previous windows user would understand.

Now I have my beloved black Desire HD. I've still had my share of problems, some of which have been sorted out by the good people on this forum, but I still love it!  Grin

2001-2003 ERICSSON R380s -- Big mistake!  Well, at least it separated me from the Nokia drones in the Philippines.
2003-2005 SE P800 -- Great phone, all in all.  However, shabby hardware construction!  The spring housing for the flip cover cracked from LIGHT USE and I had to have it replaced.  The replacement spring mechanism was stronger and obviously re-designed.  Being an SE fanboi, I forgave SE. Smiley
2005-2008 SE P990i -- Great phone too!  However, like the P800, the casing was crap!  Despite the fact that I took great care of my phone, the edges still developed chips and eventually, I had to fill them in with putty and do a DIY repaint.  Being an SE Fanboi, I forgave SE for this shortcoming.
2008-2010 SE Xperia X1 (black) -- Now I'm starting to lose faith.  This was my first WM6.1 phone after coming from UIQ.  Slow.  Resolution and display quality was top notch, and my friends who all had Omnias envied the X1's display.  After a month of owning the X1 (note: I have a carrying holster), the paint on the edges battery cover started chipping off.  Crap!  But being an SE Fanboi, I forgave SE.  In fact, I considered this as adding "character" to my phone. (wth?)  After a year, the battery cover now looked like it came from Mad Max's car!  The paint on the edges have worn off and is now naked.   Still, I loved SE.  In fact, I already saved a couple of DIY articles on how to repaint this battery cover.  Also, my QWERTY keypad now got crappy.  I had to press hard to get a key to register.  I read over at the XDA forums that the keyboard contacts tended to get dirty and had to be cleaned by taking the phone apart.  That's okay.  I'll do that soon.  I love SE. Cheesy  But I already made plans of getting an X10 to replace my faithful X1.  Then two weeks ago, it seemed that my X1 read my mind and got hurt.  Why?  It DIED!  It just conked out while attached to the charger.  I brought it to the service center and they said the mobo was fried.  My warranty was expired already.  Sigh... that was the last straw.  I'm now an ex-Fanboi!  Forget about the X10!
2010: HTC Desire HD. Smiley  I was choosing between the Galaxy and the Desire HD.  I thought the galaxy looked a bit like the iPhone 3G.  No way I'm getting a phone that looked like an iPhone!  That's why I chose the Desire HD!  And I think I made the correct choice.

Last phone was the Touch Pro 2. I have to say that I found an app to do everything I wanted to phone to do and then some, but the Windows 6.5 bugs well..bugged me. The talk button, which was hardware, wasn't even reliable. As soon as I read work emails they deleted themselves. Alot of issues of which I'm not seeing now that I've crossed over.
