10 Billion Downloads

for those of you not aware of this Google is celbrating 10 Billion Downloads from the app market - thus every day they are putting some specials on the market - i.e. approx 10 apps at £0.10 per app - and there are some pretty good apps - and they change every day.


Todays specials that I personally deem worthy of £0.10 (though the reality is that at this price every app they present is pretty much worth that price) - so lets put it this way:

TODAY's STEALS:
Airsync by DoubleTwist - especially for those iTune users
Beautiful Widgets by Levelup Studio (I know we all have Sense - but we probably arent going to get ICS even though the Sony phones which are not as well specced as our phones will get ICS, which means that to get ICS you will probably need to root, which means you will probably lose that nice Sense weather widgets - well no need to moan - here is a great replacement).
Read it Later Pro by Read it Later - though ICS Builds this in as does some other browsers.

There are some decent games to, though personally I will never buy another NaturalMotions Game until they fix their other games....... SHAME ON YOU DEVELOPER!!!

ADWLauncher Ex is a great alternative launcher and for the extra options on the free launcher is well worth the price - even if you don't use it now - you probably will once you root.

Can't say that anything else there touches my fancy too much.

Polarbit amazed us while we were still on Android 1.6 when they started producing games that still look pretty good and play well too. They even worked pretty good on the original Android phone - G1/Dream.....

Flight control was a nice time waster from earlier version of Android, but other than Beautiful Widgets and Soundhound can't say much really grabs me on this lot.


For those of you who missed GameDev - try and see if its still available at £0.10 - as its really old school but such fun.....

Sleepy Jack looks interesting and has got some really good reviews so I will probably give it a try.

Zenonia - definitely worth the purchase price especially if you like old school gameboy/PS1 RPG's - highly entertaining and will definitely cover hours of casual gaming.

(Deer Hunter - was considering an app like this for ages but been cured of this by Skyrim - now that is hunting!!!!).

go launcher ex is the best

It just has more features than the standard android camera/ and the standard sense camera - though to be fair the standard sense camera isn't that bad - they just need to work on their flash AW settings.
